Research
Dept. have three research supervisors and 5 research scholars are awarded Ph.D. Presently Dept. has 13 full time and 3 part time research scholars. Faculty had undertaken Minor Research Project.All the faculty of the Dept. are actively involved in research activities. All the faculty are participating and presenting Papers in National and International conferences and published research papers in various reputed journals.

BU News
To provide hands on experience to the students Dept. is producing 30 minutes news magazine every day and webcasting the same. Dept. had conducted the live web streaming of 52nd Bangalore University Convocation.
Library
Dept. has its own library with more than 600 books on different aspects of Electronic media and allied subjects. The Periodical Section of the library subscribes to more than 30 periodicals and over 20 leading newspapers in Kannada and English.
Documentaries
Dept. has more than 1000 documentaries. And access to all television and radio channels. Students can utilize the facility of University lab.
Studio
Well-equipped state of the art TV studio with facilities such as Teleprompter, new age cameras, lighting technology, editing suits, Monitor walls, Radio programme production equipment and web media equipment.
Computer Lab
Dept. has networked computer lab. The Dept. also has 10Mbps broadband internet connection. Computers with the latest configurations and software for teaching new media technology to students.
Mac Lab
Dept. has state-of-the art editing lab with Mac systems to train students in advanced video editing.
Class Rooms
Smart class rooms with wi-fi facility and apple TV
